The Bridge Housing Advice Centre

We are Charnwood's specialist housing advice agency.  We provide free, independent and confidential advice on the whole spectrum of housing issues including:

We can assist clients with the different aspects of their problem, including advocacy, representation and appeals.

We advise clients who are living in a variety of situations e.g. homeless clients, Council or Housing Association tenants, tenants with private landlords or owner occupiers. We are independent and are not part of the Borough Council.

When appropriate we use our clients' experience to influence local & national policy to bring about changes.

We operate an appointment and an emergency system - please contact the office during our opening hours to arrange an appointment. We also operate daily emergency appointments for those people who are homeless or who will be made homeless within the next working day. Again, please contact the office for details. When you come for your appointment you will be seen individually by one of our advisers in a confidential setting.

Our premises are all on one level and are easily accessible for pushchairs, wheelchairs etc.  An interpretation service is available for anyone who requires it, however we would need prior notice to arrange this

which indicates the high level of advice the organisation can offer
