The team includes a dedicated
Tenancy Relations Officer who can provide advice, information and assistance to
both private tenants and landlords.
The Housing Advice team can assist
clients with the different aspects of their problem, including advocacy,
representation, appeals and tribunals. We can advise people who are living in a
variety of situations, for example, homeless clients, clients lodging with
friends or family, council or housing association tenants, tenants with private
landlords or owner occupiers.
In addition to our advice
work, we also have a keen interest in improving services for those in housing
need, so we use our knowledge and experience to influence local and national
policy to bring about changes.
For general advice, please
contact the Bridge during opening hours.
Your details will be taken in order for you to have a telephone appointment
within 7 to 10 days. If the housing
advice team feel you need a face to face appointment to follow on, they will
make the appointment for you. For
those without accommodation that night or the following day, we can book daily
emergency appointments. When you
come in for an appointment you will be seen individually by a member of the
housing advice team in a private interview room.
Our premises are all on one level and are easily accessible for pushchairs,
wheelchairs etc. An interpretation service is available for anyone who
requires it; however we would need prior notice to arrange this

The Housing Advice Team holds the
Legal Services Commission Quality Mark,
which indicates the high level of
advice the organisation can offer
